SMB380 is "Product of the Year 2008"
This renowned award has been presented for the tenth time already and is based on a readership election that is done on a yearly basis. The "Elektronik" magazine is a monthly, leading German electronics magazine that targets engineers working in product design and development.

The triaxial acceleration sensor SMB380 won in the category "Sensors", one of ten categories of electronic components and electronic devices.

Elektronik says "the choice of the electronic-products of the year shows a know-how and an innovation barometer of public opinion within the Electronics industry".

Bosch Sensortec was awarded for the SMB380 being the Best Product of the Year.
The readership of E&E chose the SMB380 amongst 41 other products to be the best within the category of analog and mixed signals.

E&E is a monthly electronic magazine of the publish-industry group featuring trends in technologies and the electronics industry sector.

CEATEC

CEATEC 2007 has been very successful. More than 200,000 visitors have been registered.

Bosch Sensortec featured the latest developments in MEMS sensors.
In several demonstrations the functionality and application of both, triaxial acceleration sensors as well as digital pressure sensors, were shown.

The pedometer software, presented hourly on-booth, gained a huge visitor interest. Here one possible application with the SMB380, a digital acceleration sensor of only 3 mm x 3 mm x 0.9 mm, was realized for the public.

Furthermore, the smallest digital pressure sensor, SMD500, for Consumer electronics was demonstrated in cooperation with our reference-design partner NEMERIX. Both companies partner to deliver a revolutioary GPS multi-sensing capability for enhanced vertical accuracy. This system improves the navigation for example while driving on multi-level, stacked roads or tunnels.
