BMA288

The BMA288 is a 14 bit, triaxial acceleration sensor with an intelligent integrated motion-triggered interrupt controller in a 2 mm x 2 mm LGA package. A key feature of this device is the high temperature stability which ensures measurement accuracy across full operating temperature range. In addition, ultra low power and noise performance make the BMA288 ideal for high stability, high precision applications such as indoor navigation, imaging, augmented reality and gaming.

With its small footprint the BMA288 is unique in the class of low-noise, 14 bit digital acceleration sensors in particular with its ultra-low zero-g offset temperature drift (TCO) of only 0.15mg/K (typ.). On top, the BMA288 integrates a multitude of features that facilitate its use especially in the area of motion detection applications, such as device orientation detection, gaming, HMI and menu browser control. Navigation and spirit level measurement applications are enabled by the 14 bit resolution. Featuring a full operation current consumption of only 130 μA the BMA288 is ideally suited for mobile consumer electronic devices. In low-power mode operation the current consumption can be even further reduced by more than one order of magnitude. The BMA288 is highly configurable in order to give the designer full flexibility when integrating the sensor into the system.
