IMU combining accelerometer and gyroscope
The BMI055 is an ultra-small, 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) consisting of a digital, tri-axial 12-bit acceleration sensor and a triaxial 16-bit gyroscope. This sensor is unique in the class of high-stability IMUs measuring angular rates and accelerations in three perpendicular axes. Therefore, BMI055 is able to detect tilt, motion, shock and vibration in cellular phones, handhelds, computer peripherals, HMI, remote and game controllers. This inertial sensor integrates a multitude of features that especially facilitate motion detection applications such as device orientation measurement, gaming, HMI and menu browser control.
