At our Bosch Sensortec locations in Munich and Dresden, innovation is led by people with vision and passion – like Waseem and Felix. Both hold leadership roles and play a key part in making a meaningful impact on people’s life by making electronic devices smarter and more powerful. While Waseem is at the forefront of sensor development – particularly Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) – Felix heads the development of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) in Dresden. What unites them is not only technical expertise but a shared belief: their innovations improve the lives of millions of people every day.

For Waseem, sensors are more than just technology – they are playing a pivotal role in the digitalization of our world. “Working on sensors places me at the forefront of technological advancements in robotics, automotive, IoT, AI, and much more,” he explains. In Munich, he and his team develop highly successful IMUs that can be found in countless consumer electronics, from smartphones to fitness trackers. What excites him most? The collaborative team spirit, the innovation culture, and the countless opportunities for personal growth at Bosch Sensortec.

Waseem deeply appreciates the dedication and commitment of his colleagues, recognizing that their passion and hard work are key to Bosch Sensortec’ s success in MEMS technology. Working across multiple global projects, he knows that true leadership goes beyond managing tasks — it’s about empowering people. "I believe in empathetic and active listening to my project team, understanding their needs, and supporting them in unleashing their full potential by contributing personal ideas," he explains. He firmly believes that outstanding results are achieved when diverse teams come together, fueled by positivity, mutual respect, and a shared vision. “As a leader, I believe technical excellence must go hand in hand with the right mindset,” he adds. “That’s what keeps us innovative, competitive, and capable of creating truly inspiring and cutting-edge products.”

Felix began his journey at Bosch Sensortec in Dresden back in 2013, starting out in ASIC verification. Today, he leads the entire ASIC development at the Dresden site and serves as site manager. What he values most is the hands-on mentality within his teams and a corporate culture where everyone is eager to help and support one another. For Felix, the key to a fulfilling career lies in one simple formula: fun and passion for what you do. Leading people has always been something he enjoys, and he’s grateful for the leaders who supported and encouraged him on his path.

Besides his passion of leading people, Felix feels a deep connection to the products developed at Bosch Sensortec. "Every day, when I wake up and look at my smartwatch to see my heart rate, use the navigation, turn my smartphone for a picture, or listen to podcasts with my in-ear headphones – every single day, we use sensors. Having this impact on the daily lives of millions of people makes me incredibly proud."

Felix is not only proud of his team and the products they create – he’s also deeply proud of being based in Dresden. “There’s everything you need to design a sensor right here in Dresden,” Felix explains – and he’s not just referring to technical capabilities, but above all to the people who bring these innovations to life. The city itself plays a key role in his daily work. Dresden, often referred to as Silicon Saxony, is Germany’s leading hub for the semiconductor industry. “The local ecosystem has grown tremendously in recent years,” Felix says. “We make great use of synergies to drive technology forward and increase efficiency.” For Felix, innovation and education go hand in hand. Together with other semiconductor companies, his team organizes a lecture series at Technical University Dresden to inspire and support young engineers. “We live true teamwork here,” he adds. “And we’re proud to share our expertise with the next generation of talents.”
