Powerful and reliable: Bosch Sensortec launches IMU for temperature demanding environments
BMI330 targets applications with an extended temperature range up to 105°C

- Robust design for industrial, robotics, navigation and smart agriculture applications
- High-precision accelerometer and self-calibrating gyroscope in a compact, power-efficient package
- Seamless integration with existing designs thanks to pin-to-pin compatibility
Reutlingen, Germany - The world around us is full of demanding environments, where sensors and other electronics devices must function reliably. With the new BMI330, Bosch Sensortec introduces a robust, compact and power-efficient inertial measurement unit (IMU) designed for industrial, robotics, navigation and smart agriculture applications. The sensor reliably operates at temperatures up to 105°C, offering extended durability without compromising on performance.
Precision that performs under pressure
The BMI330 has been engineered from the ground up to operate reliably in elevated temperatures, without compromising performance or accuracy. It combines a high-precision accelerometer and a self-calibrating gyroscope in a compact 2.5 x 3.0 x 0.83 mm³ package. Its pin-to-pin compatibility with existing Bosch Sensortec IMUs allows for seamless upgrades without redesign efforts.

Power-efficient performance
With configurable power modes, the BMI330 is engineered for continuous operation at low power. Current consumption is 790 µA in high performance mode, 390 µA in low power mode, and just 15 µA in suspend mode.
Smart integration, broad application
Thanks to its integrated features, the BMI330 supports functions such as motion, tilt and tap detection and more – all of which simplify implementation across applications.

Availability
The BMI330 is available now through Bosch Sensortec’s distribution partners.
