    BMA456

    The BMA456 is an ultra-small, triaxial, low-g high performance acceleration sensor with digital interfaces, aiming for low-power wearable and hearable applications. Featuring 16-bit digital resolution and smart features for wearables and hearables, the BMA456 allows low-noise measurement of accelerations in three perpendicular axes. The sensor is available with two different feature sets: The wearable feature set for BMA456 integrates gesture recognition such as wrist tilt, tap and double tap and enables plug ’n’ play step counting and activity recognition. The hearable feature set integrates tap, double tap and triple tap for intuitive user interaction, no-motion and motion for optimized power management as well as activity recognition and step counting for fitness applications. The superior temperature behavior of BMA456 facilitates accurate measurements over changing temperatures. The reduced height of only 0.65 mm is ideally suited for wearable and hearable devices.
