Barometric pressure sensors enable a host of new mobile applications from indoor navigation with floor level tracking – e.g. navigation in shopping malls – to weather forecast and calorie consumption calculation in sports devices. The pressure value is also the essential input for many healthcare applications like spirometers in which the lung volume of a person is measured. Today, the barometric pressure sensor is an integral part of high-end smartphones.

The sensors

The BMP388 is a very small, low-power and highly accurate absolute barometric pressure sensor. The sensor enables accurate altitude tracking and is specifically suited for drone applications.

The BMP380 is a very small, low-power and low-noise 24 bit absolute barometric pressure sensor. BMP380 is specifically designed and ideally suited for a wide range of altitude tracking applications.

BMP280 is an absolute barometric pressure sensor especially designed for mobile applications. The sensor module is housed in an extremely compact package. Its small dimensions and its low power consumption allow the implementation in battery powered devices such as mobile phones, GPS modules or watches.
